My photography philosophy has a lot to do with “in the eye”. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I love my photos, but will anyone else. I try to look at every image and think “Will I want to see this again?” I have come to appreciate the most important eye is the one behind the camera. The best camera will not transform an uninteresting image. There are interesting images all around us. We just have to slow down, look and take the picture.
My eye focuses on the world around us – landscapes, building, flowers… There are so many interesting colors, textures and shapes.
Like many others, I am trying to figure out what to do with my photography. It lies somewhere between a hobby and a vocation. This project is part of the journey.
